About Us

Human-powered and handmade, we work with world-class artists to deliver award-winning projects for global clients.

We are the Europe's leading hand-painted advertising and mural painting company. We are media owners, with over 100 large exclusive sites all across the UK, and thousands worldwide, with offices in Spain, France and Belgium and coverage in over 25 countries.

In a world that looks down, we make things worth looking up for – worth stopping for, appreciating, and sharing. We help our clients grip the attention of their audience, working with the best artists and painters in the world.

We also create designs, have a world-class digital content team, and curate exquisite partnerships and live events, amongst other services. We make ourselves very useful.

We didn't set out to work in advertising and that's assuredly a good thing. Not knowing what you're meant to do is a great way to ensure you don't do what everyone else does. We win awards because of it.

When Global Street Art started more than 12 years ago we had one mission (to Live in Painted Cities), a couple of laptops and a lot of energy. Today we have more laptops, the same mission, and new things like ‘values’ and ‘grey hair’. The mission doesn’t have an end – there will always be more work to do. If you want to experience that energy for yourself, this is an invitation to come visit us (we have a Gallery filled with 100,000 pieces of ephemera from the last 150 years of culture and creativity, if you also fancy being inspired).
Since our creation in 2012 we have:

Created over 3,000 pieces of public art. Donated thousands of cans of paint into community projects. Supported well over 1,000 artists…. and we’re on a mission to inspire over a million murals.

Our global coverage:

In a world where our experiences are increasingly channelled through screens, we run in the other direction.

We'd prefer to stand in the rain and work through the night, hovering 20 metres above the ground, supporting artists with tangible skills, who work until their hands are sore, to paint something worth stopping for. Ironically, that makes our work superb for the screen too.

Over the years our Old Street HQ has grown into a 5,500 square foot office, workshop and museum. We keep a fully stocked art studio, where we often host artist residencies, just so brilliant creatives can come in and make brilliant things.

We've come to realise over the years that our job is to inspire as many artists as possible because, if we do a good job of that, the artists we inspire will go on to inspire many, many more people still.

In a world that often feels rushed and intangible, we take pride in crafting something that leaves a lasting impression.
